Food is very good. Like a healthier/tastier/fresher version of Subway, or Moe's. Might have gone for the 5th star were it not for their odd request for a tip when you use a credit card to pay. they say the tip is optional, but you are presented with the choice of 15%, 20%, 25%, or No Tip. So you are unfairly compelled to leave a 15% tip for the No Service. I usually don't tip at places like this. Occasionally I will see a tip jar, and throw in my change or a buck. But 15%? Would you leave that at Subway? or Moe's? It left me with a cold vibe. If you go, pay cash.

Good food, fast...perfect for after a day at the beach, but expensive. So the easiest way to describe this place is a local version of Chipotle or Moes. Walk in, made to order burritos, tacos...sit where you want. Pros: Decent beer selection, really fresh food, laid back atmosphere makes it perfect post beach (sandy, sandals, swimsuits, etc.) Cons: Pricey (more on that in a sec) Suggestions: 1) Menu is really busy/confusing, tough to figure out what they have 2) They have nachos and Salsa, which, given their theme of fresh food, we would have liked to try, but we didn't know that until we sat down and saw a separate ad. Not sure if we missed it on the menu, but goes back to suggestion 1. Price: $27 for 2 burritos, a beer and a coke. WHAT?! Maybe because its close to the beach...but still. It was good food, given the area, we might be back, but we'll probably skip the drinks.

Very tasty. Very fresh. However, they need lettuce! Update: It's been 8 months since my original review. I'm back in Anna Maria, and I have eaten at Poppo's twice in the last two days. It's just excellent. I still wish there was lettuce but the honey lime cabbage is great, and the salsa verde is fantastic. Get a quesadilla with pork. Don't skip Poppo's.

Excellent food, and great vegan options. Tempeh and kale were great.

Delish. Build-your-own bar style place. Fresh. Limited seating on covered porch. Had an awesome bowl with steamed kale as the base.

Better, clearer service. Slightly better food. Bigger portions. They earned their fourth star.

Don't go here! Very pricey for what you get. Strange that they don't have lettuce for the type of food they serve. The food was very bland. Very limited seating. We had to find someone to come to the bar to get a beer. The set up is very similar to Chipotle. Chipotle is by far better.

We love poppos for lunch! They food is always fresh and healthy and quick. This is my go-to spot on Anna Maria!

The quality of the food was good, but everything seemed very under seasoned, especially for Mexican food. Our two burritos were very, very bland bordering on tasteless.

Amazing tacos and a welcome addition to AMI's already great restaurant options. We will be going back.

This was our first time at Anna Maria Island and during our stay there, we ate at Poppos for lunch everyday. I was a bit skeptical at first thinking it's like a Chipotle, but when I tried their classic taco, I immediately became a fan! This joint will be a go to joint everytime we make the trip down to AMI.

Stumbled almost by and instead into this place today at lunch. We were their first customers of the day! Small, CUTE place. Seemed to have a lot of beer selections, but we had their soft drinks because they were all natural and when do you get to do that out to eat??? I got "The Plate" which with Chicken and Black beans over this amazing, amazing slaw. It really set it apart from any place you think is like this! My husband had the Poppo's Taco (feta and slaw) to be brave and a burrito to play it safe. Turns out, the people who put the menu together knew what they were doing. That combination was amazing!

  • Laina S.

Good food, friendly service. Vegan options and the burrito maker was very knowledgeable on what was appropriate for our vegan/veg family. Their tortilla chips were excellent! They also offer a kid's portion (which was very generous). Limited seating - bar seating only inside, and two-tops and benches outside.

  • Christian S.

Simply outstanding. Fresh, real ingredients and not loaded with excess sodium like Qdoba/Chipotle. Hot sauce is great. Give it a shot! Nice people, too.

The most amazing chips ever! Great tacos! The food is really fresh and delicious! Great value for the island and a lot better then Tortilla Bay. Also if you like Chipotle I think this is much better.

Fresh, natural goodness. Went with a group of 8 people kids and adults everyone enjoyed their meal... Guacamole best I have ever had !!! One block to beach grab some food and watch the sunset, you will not be disappointed... Will definitely go back...

Great new taqueria on Pine Ave in Anna Maria. We were happy to see this new food edition to one of our favorite vacation spots. The food was delicious, the ingredients fresh and inventive. We loved the decor, the service and will definitely go back!

This is the PERFECT place to eat for a day at the beach. All the ingredients were so fresh and organic! The beef and pork were delicious, the guacamole was more than satisfying and the homemade tortilla chips were to die for! All of the staff was excellent and more than helpful. Most definitely one of the best experiences on Anna Maria Island. A MUST DO on your to do list on the island! Worth every star and the filled belly! ;)

Everything at Poppo's was amazing. Me and my boyfriend ordered a burrito each (Choice of rice, beans, protein and cold toppings on a freshly pressed 12" flour tortilla). I got the white rice, black beans, ancho chicken (amazing), arugula (delicous), pico (so fresh), cilantro, cheese, sour cream and guac (extra $ BUT SO WORTH IT), and then the salsa verde which was the perfect amount of heat and flavor (trust me, get it)! My parents ordered the big bowl and the baby bowl (Choice of rice, beans, protein, and cold toppings on a bed of seasonal green or honey-lime cabbage). My dad raved about the wild boar chorizo they have. If you love burritos, then seriously you have to try Poppo's. All the produce is organic and all the protein is hormone free, I am no health freak but you can taste the difference and the freshness. Ten times better then any Moes or Chipotle.

Five stars -- couldn't be better. Absolutely amazing food. Went in May and for the chicken. It was all right, but didn't really amaze me. Went back this week in August, got the pork, best pork burrito I've ever had. You should eat here. You won't be disappointed.

  • Cassie D.

Delicious! You order at the counter and can see all of your meat and topping options right away. The staff were all extremely helpful and had no problem offering suggestions and favorites. Wanting to try a selection of the items available I had the classic taco (corn tortilla, shredded pork, cilantro and hot sauce) and experienced with a build your own taco (shredded spicy beef, arugula, cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo). To ensure I didn't leave hungry I also added a side of guac and chips. All of it was FANTASTIC! I think the classic was delicious, but for a dollar more ($2.50 vs. $3.50) I think the extra topping options on the byo taco were worth it. - especially hungry! The guacamole was delicious and one of the best and freshest I have had. Definitely add it if you are a fan! Overall review great unique food with the consistency of ordering as most Mexican styled restaurants. I will be coming back a lot! Worth noting, they have their own sodas made with real sugar (no high fructose corn syrup) and a great selection of local beers on tap!

  • Adrianna C.

I'm a little torn with this place. What we got was very good but we didn't really feel it was anything amazing or worth the price. It was just like a better Chiptole, and much more expensive. I got two chicken and 1 pork taco. I didn't love the pork, but the chicken was incredibly flavorful and tasty. But they were a little scant on toppings and charged for sour cream. Lame, especially with how pricey they were to begin with. I was a little surprised and disappointed that they didn't have any fish or shrimp tacos. I would mates return again, especially if I was staying in the area and wanted something close. But if you are willing to drive about 25 minutes you can get very authentic, yummy, fresh, cheap Mexican at a very cheap price in Bradenton.

Poppo's is excellent. You will not be disappointed in any menu item. The concept is "fast casual" (similar to Subway/Chipotle - where you order while looking at the possible options). The atmosphere is way cool. There are unique wood tables with a coastal feel. They offer all natural sodas, teas, and infused water. I used to order their quesadilla religiously (with pork) and it was crispy and delicious! I recently stopped eating starches, so now I get their "baby bowl" and it is amazing! They alternate between arugula, kale, and other greens depending on what's in season. As of now, I get arugula, cabbage, pork, pico de gallo, sour cream, two types of cheeses, and lime in my bowl. The veggies and meats are always so fresh & delicious! Highly recommend!!

  • Kellyo O.

Love this place! The food is so good - we came here last year on a whim and grabbed a taco. It was so good so we told our family about it and they went up to get some too. They loved it as well. Today we went back and got tacos and a burrito to all share. They also have local beers on tap for $6 a pint. I tasted 2 of the 4 they had and liked them both. They also have a home made kombucha tea. I did not taste it while there but may go back for it. I got the Poppo taco ($3.50) with spicy beef. It was fantastic! My daughter got the classic taco ($2.50) and my son got the burrito with pinto beans and pork as meat. Everyone really liked their food. Yum!

This place is legit. I am a serious taco snob. Having eaten tacos all over Los Angeles and San Diego in all kinds of places and off of all manner of carts and trucks, I have very high standards. This place delivers. Another review compared Poppo's to Chipotle which would be accurate insofar as they both list tacos on the menu. That's pretty much where the similarities end. These are real street tacos, on fresh corn tortillas, with amazing fillings and unbelievable honey lime slaw on top. They have local beer on tap and craft sodas made with real cane sugar from the fountain. There are also some bottle beers available if that's your jam. Seating *is* limited, but who cares? Sit down on the steps or lean against the porch railing and eat your street taco like you actually bought it from a street vendor. Super vegetarian friendly with tempeh on the menu and vegetarian black beans clearly identified as vegetarian. Staff was easy going and friendly, what you should expect from a beach town taco stand. Prices were really reasonable. DO NOT MISS POPPO'S.

  • Julia K.

The food was made right in front of you, and was delicious. It took a little while for us to get through the line because we were behind a group of children all ordering for themselves. The beer on tap is all from local breweries and are served ice cold. I would recommend to anyone visiting Anna Maria to make a point of eating here!

Oh a definite yummmmmm oh my. Another case where thank gawd for yelps help. It's really good and the only reason for the losing a star is the seating is minimal and that sucks. However the ingredients are sooo fresh and sooo good. They offered wild boar chorizo as one of the choices. I opted for the chicken quesadilla with cheese pico de gallo and Halle's cole slaw. It was off the hook. My hubby who is much more bolder than I got the wild boar chorizo tacos which he paired with pico lettuce red onions guacamole cheese and salsa. He said it was taco heaven. The good news we heard was that they are getting so popular they are opening more stores. We also got their chips and salsa. Their chips are homemade and so is the salsa. It's amazing how great they taste I'm not even sure I can do them justice as they were that damn good. Yup from here on out this will get a visit every time we come which is at least once a year oh my this makes me wanna say Ole!

Friendly folks serving up taco truck styled tacos. Very good quality ingredients in every bite. Good beers (or root beers too) to pair with the surf styled, laid back atmosphere. It's a fun place to get a righteous taco. One of the best in the area for the style. Super casual, mellow vibes and tasty tacos and 'rritos.

  • Tanya C.

Unfortunately this is the only Mexican restaurant on the island, on the up side the tacos are something you don't want to miss out on. All organic, they prepare everything in front of you. All of their meats and salsas have amazing flavor...NOTHING CANNED HERE! I dare you to eat only one!

  • Maddy I.

Great food! Was pretty busy when I went but the line dwindled quick. All of the ingredients were fresh or even organic, and even the soda offered was without high fructose corn syrup. The prices, despite the freshness, were still low. I ordered the classic taco, which was an interesting treat, but the sauce was a little hot. If I had to try that again I would've custom ordered a taco with a milder sauce, but I am not a big fan of spiciness. Overall, great little shop that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

  • Jim S.

Very good food, had great taste, fresh, and most definitely delicious!! Was a bit pricey, wiped out $50 for two adults and two kids. Still I would go back again it was so good!

Food is amaaaazing! All produce is fresh and organic and all meats are hormone free. Their homemade tortilla chips are to die for! Also a nice selection of local beers. The Carnitas burrito is excellent! An employee, Max, went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience and let us know about all the local happenings! Thanks Max!!!

Nice storefront on Pine. The food was good but overpriced. Confused why feta is offered and not a more traditional queso fresco.

    (3)
  • Jake M.

Very good burritos and bowls. Carnitas is very good. Chicken was tasty and not dry. Guacamole was really good with enough garlic and onion to have flavor without being overpowering. Homemade chips are excellent and salsa is super fresh and delicious- lots of raw veggies diced with the right amount of vinegar cilantro and spices. I ended up eating here for lunch three times in a week. Never dissipointed

This place would be perfect on a nice cool evening to eat your tacos on their porch and then take a walk on the beach. The food is awesome and fountain sodas come in fun flavors. Can't wait to go back for more spicy cabbage!

Great casual place near the pier and beaches. Get the steamed kale and spicy beef in ur bowl and grab a seat on the porch. Ahhh

  • Dave C.

My wife discovered this place and we love Mexican food. However I was not very impressed with this place. All the "proteins" we're cooked via a slow cooker. The taste was not very good. It was a meal that I could very easily make at home. It was also a bit pricey for what we got.

  • Zach E.

This place is amazing. Great, fresh food. It's located amongst little stores on Pine Street. Somewhat easy to miss, but do yourself a favor and stop in for a burrito! I would recommend their spicy shredded beef burrito, it's amazing.

  • Amanda A.

Homemade tortillas make these tacos unbeatable. Quick, fresh and cool little ambiance. Everything is freshly made and no preservatives. We had tacos-one braised beef and one pork carnitas. Not sure but we think the beef was the winner. They mostly serve beer but they have a nice pinto noir. Would definitely return.

  • Jeff Z.

Excellent, authentic Mexican food. Very simple menu and our family of four tried more than half of it. Everything tasted great! Not fancy. Just a walk up counter and a few outdoor tables. Will go back before I leave.

  • Darrin G.

Fantastic little place! Amazing tastes and a laid-back island vibe. Had the 'classic tacos'...perfect street-style! And the menu is very reasonably priced too...especially for fresh, natural and organic ingredients. Our new favorite place on Anna Maria!

  • Jamie O.

Always glad to stop by when we visit! There's usually a long line but it's definitely worth the wait. The pork burrito is delicious and bowls are mouthwatering with with steamed kale and slaw. They have great beverage options from kid friendly from soda to adult choices like local beers.

    (5)
  • Peter B.

Amazingly good Mexican food. Think Chipotle, but much better. Very fresh, including hand made tortillas and fresh chips. I'm deducting a star for three reasons: 1) not much seating. 2) limited choices of sauces/salsas. 3) while two of the counter staff are cheerful, the woman behind the register is a rude downer. Overall, well worth a trip.

    (4)
  • Lisa H.

Best tacqueria I've ever been to, hands down. Great ingredients, great staff!! As soon as we get to Anna Maria we go here for lunch or dinner. Killer burritos and bowls, great steamed kale and cabbage. Homemade chips and guac are off the hook amazing.

    (5)
  • Heather J.

Sooooooo good!!! We got the baby burrito bowl. Homemade chips & salsa were so tasty!!! All ingredients are fresh-I believe I heard organic as well. Prices were decent & staff was friendly!!! I'll be back!!!

  • Hollye H.

Loved this place! I got the kale bowl with half chicken and half tempeh. Loved the cabbage topping. And the home-fried chips were delish. Ooh, and they had ginger kombucha on tap -- so good! I'll be back!

    (5)
  • Emily A.

Seriously the best tacos I've had since moving to FL! All organic, grass fed, blah blah blah... All I know is that it tastes fresh and delicious! Go for the corn tortillas. Great for popping in for a quick bite. Limited seating and parking, but 100% worth it!

    (5)
  • Weston L.

I so wanna give this place 5 stars cuz the food was so fresh, so clean, so flavorful. Way beyond chipotle. But I can't give 5 stars because of 2 things. First, no hot sauce on tables or condiments counter. No hot sauce? I thought we're eating tacos. Strange. Second, the first lady behind the counter was rude and unfriendly. The other two staff were great. So 5 star food, 2 star service, and no hot sauce.

Food is really good, but the ordering process is chaotic and dysfunctional when the long haired guy is there. Here's how it goes when Long Hair is there: You tell him you'd like a burrito. He will put your tortilla in the steamer, ask you what you want on it, nod, and then yell out (to no one, in particular) "I CAN HELP WHOEVER'S NEXT". The person behind you tells him they want tacos or something. "FLOUR OR CORN?" he'll bellow. "Flour." Without starting the tacos, he'll take your tortilla out of the steamer, then stare at you, blankly, having totally forgotten what you wanted on your burrito, because he forgot while he was talking to the person behind you. You remind him what you wanted, and as he's putting the wrong rice into your tortilla, he once again yells "I CAN HELP WHOEVER'S NEXT". The person behind the taco guy will say "2 bowls" or whatever, and then long hair is back to staring at you without any idea of what you told him TWICE now. You remind him, AGAIN, and he passes the burrito to the salsa person. He then looks at the taco guy behind you, of course not having the FAINTEST idea what this guy ordered, even though he interrupted YOUR order to ask him. He'll interrupt taco guy to yell at someone waaayy back in the line - for no reason at all. 2 bowls guy? No chance. He's just NOT SMART enough to manage an order line in this way, and the stupid arrogance with which he barks orders at the other employees is offensive and ridiculous. The food is delicious, but Long Hair is dysfunctional and ruins the experience. When the girl with short hair is working, everything is perfect.

This place is good. Really good in-fact. Big fan of Taquerias, and burritos as a whole. The meats are seasoned in a way that is really amazing, and the Quesadilla (Flour) are really good as they fan fry them (Not just heat them up in a warmer like most places).. Why the one star ding. Well, the tacos are a bit over priced at $3.50 a taco, additionally, charging extra for Sour Cream is just stupid. Saying this, the burritos are really amazing including all their ingredients. Fresh chips too!

    (4)
  • Andy P.

In a word: Outstanding. I got a burrito with tempeh, kale, and cabbage, and I bet carnivores out there are thinking "Yuck!" Well, it was unbelievably delicious. Add a bottle of good beer (both micros and macros on offer, as well as a small bar with maybe half a dozen taps that I have to check out on my next visit), and I was in Heaven. Bonus: The young people working behind the counter are super-nice and super-helpful. The owner clearly works to hire the right people and then keeps them happy. No grumpy, begrudging service here! I'll be back often when I'm on the island. :)

Food snobs fromChicago. "A" for fresh, organic, clean and atmosphere. "B" for spices/flavors you get in more the more seedy places I like. Overall a great place!

  • Honey B.

Loved my taco but would have liked more veggie on it. I called in my order and they gave us a plain burrito instead of pork, but I think it was just a misunderstanding. The cabbage is so awesome on the tacos I think I might start doing it at home! VG

    (4)
  • Micah S.

I went there today for the first time and had the burrito with spicy beef. Best burrito I've had in a long time!! So flavorful, and the crunchy cabbage added a nice touch, not to mention there homemade hot sauce! I'll definitely be going back! Loved it! Plus they have my favorite root beer - Virgil's. You gotta try this place!

Fresher version of Chipolte. Picture Chipolte, only with better ingredients. Same price and mainly same selection. I did, however, have the vegetarian burrito and tried the Tempeh, which is a soy protein. Thoroughly enjoyed the new food.

We are from Arizona where Mexican food is good and plentiful, but Poppos tacos are by far the best we have ever had. The meat is flavorful and juicy. Everything is fresh. Super friendly service. We were in town for a week, and ate at Poppos a few times. Highly recommend!

  • Laura K.

Great fresh Mexican food. Gluten free and low carb options. Ginger kombucha on tap. Guacamole was great as were the chips! Stop in for a fresh and tasty lunch!

LOVED Poppo's! We vacationed on AMI and stopped for lunch twice at Poppo's. Both times we enjoyed chicken tacos. Loved the flavor of the meat -- very moist! -- and all the toppings. Food was very fresh, the girls working there were very attentive and nice, and the fresh chips and salsa were fantastic! All in all a great value - very good food at a reasonable price. If we are ever fortunate enough to vacation on AMI again we will definitely make it a point to go back to Poppo's!

  • Jim D.

The pork burrito may have been one of best I've ever had, loved the cabbage slaw (purple? ) on it. Chips were the best. My only complaint is the seating & ambiance. Seating outdoors or at small bar, and it was a cool evening, so outdoors wasn't comfortable. Employees were friendly. Would definitely return, maybe get food as take-out.

  • Juliana H.

LOVE this place for a nice lunch! I love the concept of a island, organic chipotle. Ordered the Tempeh based burrito. The tempeh is delicious.. Also ordered their tortilla chips, and quesadillas. Everything was delicious, good service, just wish there were more parking spaces! Will come back

it does not get any better than this. Food is fresh, delicious, and quick. Service is great. Very funky hip vibe. The chicken is so moist and flavorful. This is a must stop if you are in Anna Maria Fl.

We came here after hearing rave reviews about how fresh the food is. I'm sure it was fresh when they put it in the pans earlier today, but it looked and tasted reconstituted. The guacamole was brown and the cute little surfer boy server was stirring the brown part back into it. You just don't do that to guacamole. If anything, you scrape it off and remove it. Maybe Thursdays at 5pm are slow for them and they don't keep things as fresh so as not to waste? It's the only reason I can think of after hearing such good things.

    (2)
  • Cassie H.

We really enjoyed this place! Try the pork! It's delicious. The chips were different but delicious. Try the real-sugar ginger ale. Quesadillas on corn tortillas are so good and different! The only thing we didn't love as much was the Guac- it was missing something. Overall great experience, cool atmosphere, delicious food.

  • Jason B.

Ehhh. If your looking for a quick meal I guess it works. Ordered a burrito and there was simply no flavor. As a regular at Chipotle, there is a huge difference between the two. Not just on quality but in price. As much as it pains me to say this, I would choose something else if your looking for a food option on the island.

Friday night 8:30pm No Salsa, No Guacamole, gotta be the only mex restaurant in the USA without these key ingredients. Pitiful. Don't waste your time here!! Nothing good to say period! Sorry

Okay, a brewery employee suggested this place. I was not expecting a small cafe, but I got over it. You wait in line, order your food and then order a beer at the seperate bar. I had two Poppos' Tacos and a Classic Taco and some chips and salsa. Everything was fresh and the folks there sincerely care about the product. They had pico and guac when I was there. Also the feta cheese really changed the taco experience for me, it was great.

  • Carolyn W.

Fresh! Flavorful! Good counter service. This little spot serves as other Mexican places where you start with a base and build as you move along the service counter. All of their products, except the flour tortillas are gluten-free. We eat vegan and this was easy to do. The food was delicious, chips are fries when ordered, and drinks contain NO high fructose corn syrup. A little more spendy than the chains of this type of place but the quality far exceeds those chains. They have limited seating for how busy they are (outside normal meal hours). We ended up inside at a counter. I personally would replace the counter with more table sitting. This holds it back from five stars.

Incredibly yummy and healthy. Stand kale and cabbage are the best thing to happen to my burrito bowl, like, ever. The soda fountain is equally awesome, try the ginger ale.

Great spot for burritos, tacos, and chips! I ordered the beef burrito, and the rest of my family had beef and chicken tacos. Everyone was completely satisfied, even my seven year old who normally does not like spicy food. The verde sauce is very good and spicy. The chips are cooked, served greasy and hot....awesome. There is limited seating which could be a problem, but was not for us. Service was excellent...

This place is just awesome, all the meat is organic. The salsa is wonderful, the classic taco is what I always get. The others look wonderful as well. I go to the one on manatee ave. It is wonderful. They are doing everything right.

We visited this taco place when we were there this past Memorial day weekend. The place is super hipster and the food is absolutely delish. The classic burrito and classic tacos were super flavorful! The quesadilla was unique and not like any other quesadilla I have ever had. The place is chill and the outside seating perfect for the location. The staff were super friendly and helpful. For sodas... try their lime/lemon soda.... its addicting.

  • Nikki L.

Great restaurant and great service. The food was amazingly flavorful. We were a party of six and we all tried different items off the menu. We had no complaints only praises. The only reason I gave a four and not five stars was the pico de gallo and I wish they had more sauce options. I prefr a pico with less onion and more lime. The services was definitely a five star. They are extremely personable.

Our family stopped by here on our way back from a day at the beach. It was a beautiful day so we were able to eat outside which was nice. Food and service were very good and moderately priced. Good organic, fresh veggies... We will be returning after our next beach day.

Not much seating... Based on other similar eateries, it would have been nice if they provided chips and salsa with the meals. Interesting that they add steamed kale to the base of their version of a naked burrito bowl. Tasty!

A limited menu, but what they serve is fresh and to order is yummy. This is not a tex mex place, so don't come here if you are looking for that. Friendly service. Funky building. Would come back again.

We just ate here and the food was ok. Nothing to brag about. My biggest complaint was the lack of space to eat. It was 95 degrees outside and that's where we ate. There were only 5 stools inside. As I cut my burrito, sweat ran into my eyes and dripped onto my food. ( yes it was that hot out!!)

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
